What is Gomoku ?

Gomoku is a Japanese board game played between 2 players, and also called as 'Five in a Row', 'Gobang' and 'Tic Tac Toe'. The rules are simple, just be the first player to make 5 stones in a line.

What is Renju ?

Renju is Gomoku with some rule restrictions for the Black player. Black cannot play 3x3 moves, 4x4 moves and moves that make a row of 6 or more stones.

We have provided 15 levels of play and the highest level 15 is as strong as the best human player on the planet. The lower levels are perfect for beginners so enjoy and learn the game by beating the AI.

We have provided two rule settings, Gomoku and Renju.
